Best in Class Awards
Since 2016, The Class Foundation has celebrated excellence and innovation in student and shared living through the Best in Class Awards. The Best in Class Awards 2025 took place in Lisbon, bringing together international leaders in purpose-built housing and urban development to spotlight those setting new standards for the housing sector. These awards reflect The Class Foundation’s ongoing mission to drive progress in availability, accessibility, experience, and collaboration across Europe’s student and urban living landscape. Award categories cover the full spectrum of living innovation, including: Best PBSA Leader, Best Student Housing Operator, Best Student Housing Design, Best Sustainable Student Property, Best Affordable Housing Initiative, and, of course, Best Mixed-Use Development.
The selection process combines expert evaluation and community engagement. A nine-member jury of experts from the student living and higher education sectors evaluates finalists, contributing 85% of the total score, while the remaining 15% of the score comes from online community voting. Codomo Living received strong support in both categories − Most Affordable Housing Initiative and Best Mixed-Use Development − and ultimately took home the Best in Class Award for Best Mixed-Use Development!
